Crossing the Highland Boundary you’ll hear tales of a famous Scottish folk hero called Rob Roy MacGregor and highland life in days gone by travelling through Glen Dochart and crossing Rannoch Moor before arriving at Glen Coe with its amazing scenery and turbulent history. We are now on the gorgeous west coast of  Scotland which we travel up for a short distance before entering the Great Glen. We’ll stop at Spean Bridge to relax, refresh and sample some of Scotland’s National Drink…. Whisky…. For FREE. When we leave the Great Glen we travel west again towards The Isle of Skye going through beautiful Glen Garry and Glen Shiel. We spend our first night in the beautiful fishing village of Kyleakin.

Scotland in Winter

Day 2. Isle of Skye, ancient castles and Loch Ness!

The Isle of Skye is a truly magical place unique within the British Isles for its scenery due to the Cuillin Mountains rising straight out from the Northern Atlantic waters and sharp peaks coupled with the strange volcanic rock formations on the Trotternish Peninsula.

Strolling in the snowYou’ll hear myths and legends from an ancient time, clan feuds that raged on for centuries, go for an amazing walk and visit and pay respect to the faeries when visiting the special Faerie Glen. The order in which you travel and explore this magical island is left entirely up to the vast knowledge and experience of your driver/guide because we trust them to give you the best time possible. When we leave the Island making our way to Inverness we’ll stop for photos at 2 of Scotland’s most Iconic castles Eilean Donan and Urquart , before arriving in Inverness for our nights rest and entertainment.

Day 3. Edinburgh bound!

Leaving Inverness behind us travel the short distance to Culloden Battlefield and hear the history that gives this place its atmosphere. Near Culloden we step back into the mists of time and visit the pre historic site of Clava Cairns with its standing stones and ancient burial cairns.

Scottish Bridge in WinterOnce back on the main road making our way through the Grampian Mountains we stop at the pass of Killiecrackie before having a late lunch at Pitlochry. Before we leave the magnificent Highlands of Scotland we take in the last of the scenery that we can by going for a short walk at the Hermitage. As we head south through the Kingdom of Fife we’ll admire the crowning glory of Victorian engineering the Forth Bridge. Once back in Edinburgh it’s time to head to the pub, have a laugh and recap on the brilliant fun you’ve had over the previous 3 days. Book your tour now
